Welcome to Endpapers!

Hello! Welcome to Endpapers, a blog by Beaton Books. This is my first attempt at blogging and I am excited to see how it goes and watch it evolve alongside you. I’m planning to share book reviews, writing tips, snippets of my own work, and general chit chat about my life.

So, who am I? My name is Angela and I am life-long book lover. I have an academic background that includes a B.S. and M.S. in History, which I think is so helpful to me as a writer. I gained a solid background in research and writing and those skills have carried over into my fiction works. I have a lot of previous work experience in history museums, art museums, and libraries. My current day job is at an academic library and I really love the work I get to do there. I’m litereally surrounded by books and archival records all day – what’s not to love!

When I’m not at my day job, reading, or writing you can usually find me exploring the great outdoors of Minnesota with my husband and dog. We love to do day trips to local state parks, camping weekends, and days at the lake, but our favorite is long getaways on the North Shore of Lake Superior. We love it so much that we got married right there on the shore with the wind and waves roaring behind us.
